Mandy came to yoga as a practitioner in 2007 seeking balance and improved flexibility. For the next five years she focused on climbing the corporate ladder and competing in long distance triathlons, using a regular weekly yoga class as a much-needed stretch and relaxation. During 2013 Mandy put aside her engineering career and answered the calling by immersing deeply into the practice, study and teaching of yoga. She has since completed more than 850hrs of formal training covering a range of different styles including Vinyasa, Hatha, Therapy and Yin. For the last few years, she’s been teaching classes and workshops in various locations throughout Australia and Asia. Mandy believes there is a yoga practice suitable for everyone. She views our yoga mats as the perfect training ground for life: always inviting the opportunity for self-inquiry, growth and transformation. She is passionate about sharing the teachings of yoga and has a particular fondness for sharing the philosophy and the detail behind the poses. Mandy is a facilitator of 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training. Her classes can be described as playful, creative, alignment-based movement synchronised with breath. Mandy aims to provide a fun, safe and supportive environment for her students to embark on their own journey of mindful movement.

Melbourne-born Kat first discovered yoga in 2008, thanks to a small studio in Costa Mesa, California, whilst travelling regularly to the USA for work. At the time she was completely unaware of the extent that yoga would transform her life. All she knew was that every time she stepped onto her mat, the complexities of life seemed to all but dissipate.

Kat’s curiosity to explore how and why yoga had this profound effect on people paved the way for a further decade of constant practice and study in the USA, Sydney and Melbourne. Her passion and determination to share her knowledge and experience in yoga led to completing Yoga Alliance RYT200 training at Yoga Plus, Vinyasa training at Australian Yoga Academy, and more recently training with Laughing Lotus in New York as part of her Yoga Alliance RYT500 certification.

With Kat you will be guided through not just a physical practice, but towards a life of fulfilment, where the mind is still and an ultimate sense of peace is achieved regardless of external stimuli. The ancient yogis call this the journey towards ‘samadhi’ (the final attainment of ‘being’). This is where the magic happens!

Later on as an adult, whilst studying Kinesiology, she was introduced to Kundalini Yoga. At this stage her interest in metaphysical sciences and the healing arts was in full swing, so Kundalini spoke straight to her growing awareness of subtle energy and the intricacies of the mind/body connection.
